I am led to understand that you found te wreck of turret ship on one of your diving expiditions last year. You recovered from near the wreck a brass bell with the engraved name of Clan Urquhart 1899.
I am interested in Clan Line and I have been researching this comanys history for a number of years.
I would be extremely grateful if you could answer the following questions.
Did you remove the bell from the wreck?
Did you positively identify the wreck as that of the Clan Urquhart?
If the bell was not on the wreck how far was it from the wreck?
I seek answers only to correct the history of this ship.
Thank you in anticipation.
Regards
Vic
Hi Vic,
I’ts true that Diveteam Zeester discovered the bell of the “Clan Urquhart”. On June 8th 2008 a member called “Henk 5o5” rised up with the bell of a unknown wreck. The wreck has the shape of a turrent ship.
I allready send you an e-mail.
Best regards,
